  1. My fault for skimming, I apologize. I think it'd work out better with Peralta, given that he's shown he can produce pre-roids (assuming he wasn't roiding in '05 and '08, even '11)

  3. Welcome to No One Gives A f***. Population: everyone. Holy pretentious.
  4. I gotta say, I really like this team, but it's quite far fetched. I don't think either team does the Craig deal. There's a slight lack of pitching depth but I would love having Rosenthal in the rotation and Wong at 2B. Just seems a bit far fetched.
  5. Stroman is probably ready now, lol. It's just the HRs I'm concerned about, although DDG's post kinda eased my concerns a little. It's an issue I've always had with him, though, I vaguely remember KLaw suggesting it could be problematic for him. He's definitely one of my favorite prospects though, I'd welcome him into the rotation right now. Definitely needs at least an AAA promotion.
  6. Molina is an improvement on Arencibia (no I'm not joking f*** you Arencibia). Ryan is just bad. Lawrie is looking excellent and I'm high on him as usual. Gose is a question mark. But with an epic defense at a low cost and probably one of the the best 1-5s in baseball, I don't think it matters that much.
  7. Reyes Bautista Lind Encarnacion Rasmus Lawrie Gose Ryan Molina That's actually a pretty decent lineup. Ryan and Molina can't hit for s***, but if Gose can get on base at all, as he did this year (.347 wOBA), he'll cause havoc on the base paths. Only a couple weak spots in there. Not to mention, our bench would be pretty productive. Moore, Thole, Izturis and Davis can all be quality hitters when used correctly
  8. Lawrie in front of his 13950235902590 west coast fans
  9. No, it isn't. Marcus Stroman is giving up 1.18 HR/9. That is a legitimate problem. I don't think he'd get smacked around, but I'm very worried about the HRs. And he most likely wouldn't "dominate".
  10. Which is another thing I was aiming for. That's probably a plus defensive team with the additions of Ryan, Molina, Gose, and Reyes (2B). I think $5m.
  11. Yes, but a.) MLSE has a whole f***ing lot of money, b.) they realized a change in regime was needed, and c.) Ujiri was severely underpaid. His contract now probably makes him paid quite well, but I have to assume Freidman would cost one hell of a lot more, if he'd even want to come here at all.
  12. C - Molina (5) 1B - Encarnacion (9) 2B - Reyes (16) 3B - Lawrie (nm) SS - Ryan (3) LF - Gose (nm) CF - Rasmus (arb3) RF - Bautista (14) DH - Lind (7 - 2 buyout) BN - Thole (1.25) BN - Davis (3) BN - Izturis (3) BN - Moore (nm) SP - Dickey (12) SP - Morrow (8) SP - Buehrle (18) SP - Johnson (11) SP - Hutchison (nm) SP - Baker (1/2incentives) SP - Stroman (nm) SP - Nolin (nm) SP - Richards (nm+5) SP - Garcia (nm) SP - Buckel (nm) SP - Drabek (nm) SP - Jenkins (nm) SP - McGuire (nm) BP - Janssen (4 - team option) BP - McGowan (1.5) BP - Rogers (arb1) BP - Cecil (arb1) BP - Delabar (nm) BP - Loup (nm) BP - Stilson (nm) BP - Marcum (2) -Non tender Bonifacio and Lincoln -Let DeRosa, Oliver walk -Rajai signed (2/6 + 1/3 option) -Happ to Washington for Tyler Moore -Romero + cash to Anaheim for Garrett Richards -Santos to the Dodgers for Onelki Garcia -Johnson signed (3/33) -Melky to the Rangers for Cody Buckel -Marcum signed (1/2) -Baker signed (1/2, incentives) That, right there, is $124.75m, not including the arb cases. What I believe all this would allow us to do would be getting younger without losing too much talent. If the season started out poorly, we'd be able to start a nice little fire sale, but the team still has the tools to be quite competitive imo. We'd have a lot of young depth. Molina would be there to frame excellently and maybe mentor Jimenez and Thole a bit. We could finally move Reyes to 2nd and put Ryan at SS. I obviously focused quite a bit on pitching depth. Obviously, I have no clue of the viability of any of this. But this is what I'd try and do.
  13. Rasmus is actually less clutch than Bautista (spoiler: they're both bad) http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=3&season=2013&month=0&season1=2013&ind=0&team=14&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=11,d
  14. It's kind of amusing to see how worked up they get when we mention actual facts.
  15. "-BTS took the Lord's name in vane. He could us a healin." A religious debate is exactly what that thread needs lol.
  16. Morons don't deserve that FO
  17. Did that Gandhi f***er just insinuate that Jon f***ing Jay is of equal or greater talent than Andrew McCutchen? What in the actual f***?
  18. It fascinates me that they're this stupid. Thank jeebus this board exists.
  19. These actually can't be real people. I'm pretty sure they're all just Dogg f***ing with us.
  20. That would be amazing, actually
  21. "have bzapple bathed, oiled and brought to my chambers." -MrXray Well then.
  22. Wandy went for Robbie Grossman. I know he's been pretty horrifying this year but wasn't he at least pretty well regarded when he was traded?
