    I've always wondered this and I'm young so I have no idea about any of this. I'm Jewish with no strong beliefs, I just like the values of my religion but the beliefs seem a little off to me. I'm undecided on a deity or afterlife because I really don't have the time or energy to think about that s***. I've always wondered about the big bang, though: how did the matter that condensed get "there," wherever there is? Or, "when matter came into existence," as you said; how did it come into existence? What are the theories behind that? It's always just seemed so spectacularly beyond me, creating something out of nothing. These are genuine questions and you're a smart mofo which is why I ask. These aren't meant to start fights or anything lol.

    Plus, you're forgetting that Tanaka has FAR more leverage than Darvish had, and Texas was already paying out the ass for his posting fee. 5/85 for Tanaka would be a great deal for Tanaka imo, he'd need to average like at most 2 wins a year. Although if you include the posting fee on that which idk if you should or not cause it doesn't count for payroll, he needs to average closer to 3.

    My best memory is still attending what was going to be Roy Halladay's final game at the Rogers Centre versus Tampa Bay. Halladay went 9 and Downs blew it in the 10th.

    Throw the Mariners in and yeah, sounds about right. I think the finalists will be the Cubs and Dodgers and the Yankees and Mariners will be strongly interested. Idk who beats out who for Tanaka but as a wild guess, the Dodgers' west coast-ness probably helps.

    Money is an asset, because I'm feeling like a pedantic bastard that completely understands your point regardless. But I feel like if there's one free agent that he's going to spend huge on, it's Tanaka. I've learned to expect absolutely nothing from this team and keep my hopes down (I was HOPING for 2nd wild card last season lol) so when we miss out on him I'm not gonna be terribly disappointed, but putting 2 and 2 together I wouldn't be surprised.

    Oh, oops. That was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before my time. I thought it was a weird trade and hated Francisco irrationally until August of that year when he started performing and eventually he turned into Matt Smoral. At the time of the Wells deal, my main concern was if Arencibia would get PT. I was the single biggest Arencibia fanboy alive minus that Expos guy on the old board that comped him to Gary Carter lol.

    BTS was probably the most excited out of the above. I remember him fully realizing that this was a giant loss in surplus value but he was excited to have a potential contender for the first time in years.

    The possibility is definitely there. It's not something i'm expecting, but I wouldn't be surprised.
