My opinion is like a halfway point between both of yours. I don't think we need to be the /best/ place for him to win a title. But I think, all things considered, if we have a strong roster that would be put over the top by him, I think he'd come here because of the supporting factors over maybe a slightly better team. But we gotta get a strong roster first. And have the cap space to sign him.
  2. Holy s***, Fatcow is alive.
  3. It's easily a console seller. There's nothing like a franchise with OSFM rosters on The Show.
  4. SCEA, or Sony Computer Entertainment (of) America, is the developer behind the show.

    That summer THREEEEEEEEEEEE tho
  6. My first was 08. I just played Roy Halladay versus the Pirates every game. That was actually how I learned the basic rules of baseball, lol. The soundtrack on those games are great.
  7. That was 2k13, which I think is now defunct. Usually a season-long Franchise with the Blue Jays, with the most accurate rosters that use ZiPS projections based off of OSFM.
  8. Jesus. Although I acknowledge I'm pretty s***. The EA NHL series, though, I own that s***.
  9. How accurate do you think that Retrosheet data is? Man I love me some Junior. Favorite player of all time, honestly.
  10. I play at a mediocre level on all-star difficulty. You'd probably rape and pillage me. How's your online? Most of the time for The Show it's choppy, or so I've heard from others with the game.
  11. Whoever made your rosters are on crack.
  12. Yeah, absolutely. I've actually just kinda been wanting to make that point for a while and saw the opportunity. He hit .322 for me in a season in my The Show Franchise. Let's get him.
  13. His UZR didn't have a big enough sample to say he's good yet, though. The eye test obviously says yes but it's a very small defensive sample. So we're not saying his UZR is good yet.
  14. To be an *******, handedness still doesn't make a difference sometimes. Maybe there's a lefty out there who can hit lefties at a regressed .350 wOBA or something. We're not looking for a righty bat to pair with Lind, we're just looking for someone who can hit lefties to pair with Lind. There's a difference, even if it's pretty rare. But I do enjoy being a pedantic bastard sometimes.
  15. God damnit.
  16. Beat you by a minute, lol.
  17. That's pretty pedantic. Not to Tanaka personally, but the value of the contract equates to a cost of 25 million dollars per year.
  18. I got -2.5 fWAR with defense and baserunning neutral. I think that's off. Way to entirely miss my point. UZR is a sum. UZR/150 is the average of it.
  19. Want.
  20. I would be very surprised. Goins would be worth 0.6 fWAR/600 PA on an 85 wRC+ and neutral baserunning /not factoring in defense/. So if you project Goins for like +5 UZR, then that's 1.1 WAR/600 or so. And if this is one of the best case scenarios, we're f***ed lol.
  21. Fixed.
  22. Yeah, but everyone's lists were starting to look a little similar, so I threw a couple guys in there. I figure if we give him the money and do a little convincing it's at least conceivable.
  23. I made that comp some time ago.
  24. Just in terms of pitchers realistically acquirable. Burnett Samardjiza Garza Bailey JimEnez Capuano Santana Arroyo
  25. Nope. Very little room for surplus.
