That's not what I was insinuating, although I see how the wording can suggest that. I was using his DIPS as a proxy for his skill (bad pitcher), and meant that since he's a bad pitcher he might have gotten hit harder leading to a higher BABIP. High LD%s. Obviously there probably isn't anyone with a true talent .401 BABIP, but I was more suggesting that as a bad pitcher who's getting hit hard, having a high BABIP isn't /entirely/ luck.

He also had a 120 xFIP- and 140 FIP-. BABIP isn't all luck.

I like the concept of the wheel. The only addition I'd make is a fixed age at which prospects enter the prospect, or maybe something based on their education (when their program ends, maybe). That way, no one could time their declaration to go to a big market.
