  1. Papelbon minus salary Cecil Loup Hynes Delabar Redmond Hendriks Estrada at some point West Guilmet Sanchez again? That's actually a very good pen with depth. Plus it keeps Cecil's salary down.
  2. Sometimes that's cause of aliens, though.
  3. Cecil Loup Redmond Estrada Hynes Hendricks Osuna Castro 8 man bullpen with two 20 year old potential starter studs!! yay roster management!!

  6. Half of my thanks have gone to NJH lately. Concerning.
  7. Haha, throwing their young starters into the bullpen when they have better options for the pen already? Good thing they're the only team stupid enough to do that.
  8. People are very, very greedy, lol.
  9. Now that I think about it, maybe he saw he wasn't really going anywhere and figured might as well make some extra coin just in case?

All depends on how well we can do in FA. We'll have plenty of room to land a star, we'll have to see if we can lure one here, which I don't think most of us are qualified to since it varies so strongly (from Russ Martin to "I don't like the oreos," who knows what people think of Canada anymore).

He's just a strongly patient GM; of course we're still a treadmill team. Everyone was expecting a long term rebuild. He's set us up with great flexibility. The only things he's really done so far have set us up very well; he got 2Pat (and in a roundabout way, Lou), took a flier on Greivis that didn't pan out, and got rid of Gay. He got us actual high-value assets for Bargnani, which was miraculous. And he got us James Johnson. It's not like he strongly changed the direction of the team. Demar, Lowry, JV, Ross, Casey and co are all still holdovers from BC. He's just slower-working and more patient than the majority of GMs, so yeah, it makes sense we're still a treadmill team. Like you said, time is coming to see what Masai is made of, but he's never really done anything at all to make us doubt him; even his worst moves (Casey extension and Greivis) have had out-plans (Greivis' expiring contract will be a trade chip next year, Casey can be fired at minimal cost).

It's funny, cause I'm not cocky as so far that I'd be like "Oh I won't go to a playoff game this year there'll be plenty of other opportunities," but I don't really want to spend the money to go see this team. It's just not fun team to watch play and I don't think they're going to get very far either.

  20. Ah yes, full season extrapolation! Sponsored by our best buddy, "Ryan Goins is better than Brandon Phillips" gruber92.
  21. What a funny and strange coincidence.
  22. f***, there goes that idea. If Delgado doesn't make the rote, definitely a good target
  23. Porter is a fantastic airline. The train is amazing though, especially if you can get a deal for business class (when I went like a month ago it was $15 more than standard or something). VIA and Porter are both great, no need to drive. Stubhub is probably best bet for tix. With hotels, though, I only know where *not* to stay, lol.
