    Attention. Would you rather be Milwaukee and never, ever be heard from or New York, who's always in spotlight? The city needs more attention and exposure on a large stage mainly cause those two things are always a positive, but especially because Toronto is a legitimately good city. The ASG is going to help a ton, too. No one is going to sign with the Raptors because we're the 6ix or We The North or the ASG. But these little things add up and give us credibility, and when you combine them with playoff appearances, that's how you really build a franchise beyond the team. We got a meeting with LaMarcus Aldridge. That's what I mean. Now, if we don't sign Durant, it won't be because "we're Toronto," it'll be because he simply had a better offer. Not because we aren't good enough.

    10:30 and the lines were looping around side walks and s*** for a f***in' welcome mat I was just there cause my cousin wanted to see BP in his first game and s*** and it took us 20 minutes to get in. We went through the fan pass gate at the back of the stadium near the hotel and they always have a ton of whatever giveaway so we got one but damn the lines were not pretty. Esp Gates 5/10. Holy fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Gate 10 got remade into some concert-y kinda area and it's stupid as f*** but the lines now poor onto that Navy street. For a Russell Martin, Certified Canadian bobble head, maybe you could get away with 10:30 if you were super lucky but if you really want to be sure, 9:30-9:45 is best.

    Is gate 12 the one where you enter using the fan pass? If so yeah it's a great gate to go in. I'd show up a bit earlier though. 10:30 should get you a bobble head but if you really want to guarantee yourself one, earlier. I dunno, I'd show up at like 9:30 considering it's a Russell Martin bobblehead. I have a feeling people are gonna go nuts, better safe than sorry.

    I know. But tulo and martin got days off yesterday, not today, so that should mean they're in the lineup which really balances things out. I think I've missed Martin twice this year.

    9:30 AM and you'll have a solid enough shot at getting one. Bring a book.

    Good question. It's because he hits a lot more fly balls, and fly ball drop much less often for hits than grounders do. While this seems negative, obviously you can't dinger off a grounder, or even double, really. He gets a lot more XBH this way. So while he could have a OBP around .4 if he really wants, it would come at the sacrifice of a lot of power, and it wouldn't be worth it. A good stat for that is wOBA. It's just like OBP, but it treats HR as more valuable than 3B than 2B than 1B than BB and so on. It's like if you properly combined OBP and SLG (not OPS, better, although OPS is probably the best casual stat).

    I'm seeing him today and I have decent enough luck (see him weirdly often and only one legit blowup against a good offense, I forget who). Really hoping for a good outing.
