  1. Why does every Yankee have such a punchable face? Insufferable looking lot.
  2. You're right. It seems like a fine line to walk with Hoffman. The more worked he is the better he seems to be. You saw how long layoffs have impacted him this year.
  3. You might be right, but baseball has a funny way of defying expectations
  4. Thank God they took out Nance so he'd have no shot at pitching two quality innings for us.
  5. Like, Borucki SUCKS against righties, they're hitting .350 off him. Nance was dealing and there was only one lefty coming up. Let him pick up his team after the error. I don't give a f*** that they wanted Borucki to get in a game before the NYY series, this was 100% the wrong time. How does this outing serve to increase Borucki's confidence?? Total backfire.
  6. Perfect example why you DON'T take out Nance. One shot at the lefty and barely any control. Hope this works out. Edit: And the walk. Nance was dealing, so stupid to take this risk for a single lefty.
  7. Bo with the lazy throw, France still should've caught it. Schneider should let Nance finish the inning.
  8. Baby steps...gotta retire 7,8,9 in order here to give someone a fresh inning for the top of the Reds' order. Aaaaaand that sucks. Good effort by Bassitt today.
  9. Good bounce-back game from Bassitt. Now let's hope the offense gets something done!
  10. Not sure how much of a baseball fan you can be if you don't appreciate a well-pitched, close game.
  11. Your negativity is wearing thin; the Jays are up against a pitcher with nasty stuff and have actually hit the ball better today than the Reds. Bad luck can happen. Let's see how they fare in their final 3 ABs. They have lots of come from behind wins this year.
  12. Damn, filthy pitches to Kirk there. Would've liked Lukes to get a hit but he was just overmatched.
  13. George did everything right on that play, s*** luck.
  14. With how volatile our relief pitching has been, I wouldn't be surprised to see us continue to scuffle and wind up in 2nd or 3rd wildcard spot. That said, I could also easily envision a Sportsnet graphic around 3rd week of September showing our bullpen is top 5 for the month in multiple categories, hence why the Jays are in first place and holding onto one of the top 2 spots in the league. August and September could have very different feels to them.
  15. Somehow even with the pitch clock Seranthony is taking 5 minutes between pitches
  16. If we can go at least 4-2 on the homestand we will have some good momentum heading into September. Once the calendar flips I feel like this team will go on a run. Working out the kinks in the dog days.
  17. .500 road trip is fine, but they lost an easily winnable game in Pittsburgh that put a damper on things. Oh well, let's get some of that home cookin' going and heat up a bit before the Brewers come to town.
  18. Who ever said I don't like Hoffman? I don't think I've posted about him once, lol. That said, our bullpen needs to fix their walk issues
  19. Hopefully we can get through the dog days of August. Things can feel a lot different once the calendar flips to September
  20. Only first pitch was incorrectly called according to the app. Still, if you're not getting the calls then throw in a different quadrant.
  21. Sox win game 1, let's see if they can actually split this thing (or take 3)
  22. One of the worst losses this year. Need to get over it quickly and hope Vladdy is back on Friday.
