So proud of this team. Would be one of the most deserving WS champs in quite some time. We need to get after it tomorrow in the event we need a mulligan with Yoshinobu starting game 6.

I totally hear you. I feel like a lot of the frustrations are based on results rather than process, if you know what I mean. Your point about pitching to Ohtani is well-made. That decision along with the Barger pull are really all I can find fault in. The rest was just players not performing, or making bad baserunning decisions, etc. I said the same thing in the ALCS, Schneider seems to need to fail at something once before knowing how to fix it. I really do hope he can continue to engage the team without needing to overmanage; it's just a 2-1 deficit and the series is far from over. Let's hope Bo keeps healthy and that the team can step up in what is likely to be a long absence for Springer. It was always Jays in 6 or 7 and that is still on the table.

I'll give Schneider a break, but only if we can grab a win and get the series back to TO. Like in the Mariners series, taking 2/3 on the road was something they had to do and they accomplished it; despite a brutal game 5 decision they still did it. Taking 2/3 in LA is a tall order so if they can get a win tonight and/or tomorrow then all is forgiven and hopefully John and the team can bounce back and the Jays can win or lose at home in front of the best fans in the league. Really, the only key decision that irked me was moving off of Barger too soon. Who knew the game would go 18 innings? That said, I still think putting Straw in so early was a bit dumb. Let's not get too down people!! We've outscored the Dodgers so far this series and as another poster put it, it felt like we battled injuries, the umps and the baseball gods last night and still took the game to 18 innings. Let's get a great game from Bieber tonight, grab a W and put some doubt in the minds of the Dodgers. Game 5 with a chance to go home up 3-2 on the line would be so fun.

Great bounceback inning. 2 runs over 4 innings isn't terrible, especially with not so great command. Interesting to see if he goes one more.

Doesn't matter how we got here, but pushing the series to game 7 AT HOME after dropping the first two games is quite the accomplishment. Let's leave that negativity behind and focus on having a solid, offensively dominant and defensively sharp game 7! Jays have been the better team for most of this series and deserve this WS berth. Let's gooooooooooooo!!!

Exactly. If the Jays win this game and manage to make it to the World Series, overcoming the adversity of blowing game 5 might have a positive ripple effect that wouldn't otherwise be there. Schneider playing 4d chess, lol.

Would really hate to have this magical season end with such a questionable decision. Let's hold out hope for a resurgent Sunday and Monday night!!

It sucks they lost on a questionable bullpen decision, but they did what they had to do to get the series back to Toronto. After being down 0-2 I think most of us would have been very happy if we were told the Jays would force a game 6. If the Jays can't win 2/4 home games then they don't deserve to win the series anyways, bullpen be damned. This all said, 2 of Seattle's wins might've turned out totally differently if a couple different decisions were made. I really hope Schneider is able to learn from this before it's too late. Also, the Dogers are a f***ing buzzsaw right now; it's hard to think either AL team has much of a chance against them. Would still love the Jays to try cause this is baseball and anything can happen. Don't lose faith in this team until the final out. This has been a year of resiliency and will be a success no matter how it ends. See you all for game 6 (and 7!!)

My point was that baseball is a funny game and sometimes things happen you dont expect. No need to be so negative until it's done and dusted.

Agreed. Baseball is a crazy game and that's why we love/hate it. It's now the Jays turn to pick themselves up off the mat.

So far this feels like 2016 where right off the bat it seemed like the team was just not destined to compete. Hoping they turn things around on the road.
