  1. Well, time to get 4 hours sleep before work....thanks a lot AA. I want this thread at 50 pages by the time I get to work tomorrow. You can do it!
  2. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck............
  3. Don't get me wrong I'd absolutely hate it if my team lost that way too. Making a crazy play vs. making a stupid play call is all I'm referring to. Decent game otherwise.
  4. I enjoy plays that happen as a result of athleticism and occasionally freak luck. Throwing a deep ball at that point in the game is a fine call. That it had a crazy outcome so be it and that much more entertaining. Throwing the ball on the 1 yard line on second down while you have the best RB in the league with 30 seconds left in the game is a terrible call. It also had a crazy outcome. I would tend to prefer the former than the latter.
  5. that play was ridiculous...I hate for any team to win/lose like that. How do these coaches make it through an entire season and post-season up to less than a minute left in the championship game and make a play call like that? friggin' terrible.
  6. Incredibly sad news. R.I.P. and condolences to both of their families.
  7. If the Rays do make the move to Montreal, could the team theoretically be named "The Expos"? That being said, should the team just try to establish itself with a fresh identity or do they look into the past like the Jets tried to do in the NHL?
  8. "You can sum up baseball in one word - You never know." WTF!?
  9. Whoever the director is should be fired after this debacle...I can't count the number of times we've missed a swing or a home run ball because some player goofing off or a fan with an oversized glove was more important to show than the actual event. Pathetic.
  10. The question is whether or not the jays can improve from playing their current .500 level ball. The Yanks and O's are on a hot streak right now but as soon as they slump we might be back up by more than 1 or 2 games in the division if we can start being a bit more consistent. Lots more ball left to play this year for every team in the division, people.
  11. The real shitshow isn't so much on the field as is it in your consistently negative posts. We get it...you're through with the team and they're terrible. You told us! Now please go somewhere else and leave this thread to people who actually have something to say.
  12. Amazing performance and a wonderful call by Vin Scully...obviously doesn't care about superstition mentioning the no-hit bid quite a few times throughout the evening. Too bad about the throwing error since it really should have been a perfect game. Enjoyed seeing it in front of the home fans too.
  13. Apparently suffered a fatal brain aneurysm...very sad. R.I.P. http://www.lonestarball.com/2014/6/17/5819696/richard-durrett-has-passed-away
  14. What I've gathered from the celebratory scrum is that Leiper really likes the grab some man ass.
  15. Have to second the recommendation for Dark Souls 2 ... I was very used to Demon's Souls and Dark Soul's controls so this took a bit of getting used to but it's much better overall. Need better timing to execute rolls, to parry or backstab. Upgrade paths are much simplified which is fantastic though upgrade materials are rare enough that it's not a walk in the park to get it all done. Lots more balance when it comes to invading and PVP. The lore isn't as good and some of the bosses are lackluster but overall it's a fantastic game.
  16. Despite being a lurker on these boards (and the old one) I definitely enjoyed reading his posts and always enjoyed them (even if I didn't always agree). Feels strangely like a family member passing away...he will be missed. R.I.P. Kirk
  17. Pretty much sums up the entire season. Lol! Quite fitting.
  18. yup, arrogance is more easily overlooked if the team is actually performing.
