The Blue Jays are designating right-hander Yariel Rodríguez for assignment, reports Francys Romero.

The Blue Jays are designating right-hander Yariel Rodríguez for assignment, reports Francys Romero. This will open a space in the major league bullpen and on their 40-man roster, although it’s not yet clear how they plan to fill those spots. Sportsnet’s Ben Nicholson-Smith notes that Tommy Nance could be nearing his return from the 15-day IL; the right-hander made a rehab appearance with Triple-A Buffalo on Friday.
