I really like this piece. The Tokyo Series was wildly successful and while it will be hard to replicate the intensity of Japanese fans, MLB needs to start tapping into more international markets that love baseball.

Taiwan would pretty much be similar to Japan in terms of excitement for baseball. They built a new ballpark in Taipei as well. Was there last year and caught a game! 

I think it would be cool to do an Opening Series in Mexico City or in the Dominican or Puerto Rico. Not too far from the US and in the same time zones pretty much. Fans would definitely be excited in those countries. 

I don't think baseball will ever take off in Europe. Would just avoid all together.
