Man - can Buck STFU? He's so shaken that pitchers these days don't throw fastballs 70% of the time that the has to make up narratives like "Gil went away from his strengths early in the game, throwing too many changeups and sliders and he didn't develop the feel for the fastball".

How do you look at that pitch with bases loaded and 2 strikes? I suspect Biggio was taking his chances that Gil would throw another ball versus looking for a ball to drive.

I remember in Buck's day that in the first inning, you have to establish your fastball. And then add in your other pitches. Jim Clancy was a great example of that.
