Ranger Suarez was only slated to go a few innings and to just let it fly, but his stuff was so filthy that Thomson let him finish 5 innings to pull him once the lineup came around for a 3rd time. If you're going to manage in the big leagues, you need to have a level of flexibility and to ultimately allow the players to play. This is the difference between a competent manager and a boob like John Schneider.

 

The fact that John Schneider is going to be back after back to back awful managerial displays in the 2022 and 23 post seasons is beyond egregious. We need a baseball guy like Anthopolous back, not these number crunching nerds.
