gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 20/20 Really? So even when Atkins make the right call, it's wrong because the timing is not to your satisfaction? Hindsight is 20/20. Are you serious? He should have been up here at least 3-4 weeks ago.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Atkins can't draft/develop players Oh stop.. Anybody on this board can draft players where some of them work out. Lol..

BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Atkins can't draft/develop players Part of Shapiros 2017 promised "waves"? Because 11 At bats is now a legit sample size? Really happy for the kid but and lets ride it but...Biggio was a 115-122 wRC+ impact bat too when he first came up. League adjusts.
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2023 Author Posted August 6, 2023 Walking Reyes a second time, wtf Bassitt

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 The interesting thing about both Davis Schneider and Addison Barger is their hitting approach is a massive departure from what's being taught at the Major League level. They both have uppercut swings who look to murder the ball in the air. They aren't focused on hitting to the opposite field but can go deep to opposite field because of their general approach. We haven't seen a lot of prospects coming through the system but there are definitely some guys on the way now. It's nothing like the Orioles but between Schneider, Barger, Martinez, and Jimenez you got some big leaguers that I think all will play at this level. Spencer Horwitz as well.

JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2023 Author Posted August 6, 2023 That TD commercial is funny
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Atta boy Bassitt. I like the way he used his two disengagements to gather himself, as the runners were going to be running on the full count with two out anyway.

Several others like him in AAA right now too. It's a direct jab at Olerud and his insincere arguments. Go in your corner and cry more.

The same thing is happening on this forum with a small sample on Paul Dejong, he's the devil, when really he was brought in on an emergency basis for his defense and ability to hit LHP. I'm enjoying this kid's heater at the moment, he's locked in, certainly isn't going to stay this way.
Delgalladay Verified Member Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Dang he just got hit like Jansen did
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 If you have a crystal ball up your ass, sure Why would you need a crystal ball in promoting a player who has been hitting all year in AAA into a stale line up? You couldn't come to the conclusion that he could be no worse than Espinal or Biggio and warranted a look? Crystal ball, LMAO.
