Jansen and Chapman just terrible throws

 

That games was on Jansen to poor execution of throwing the ball and not catching the ball at the plate. Part of the reason he is a good catcher but not and great catcher period!

He is a platinum glove with a vaunted arm. That's a piece of cake for a fast play for him. He just short hops Jansen with runner barreling down on him. Tough play for Jansen. A decent throw in the air and DOA at plate easy.

Maybe Chapman being a negative defender at 3B by the metrics isn't that crazy after all... I thought that was outlandish when I first saw it but he could just look great in comparison to last year's pathetic defense there lol

Then he should have given Jansen a clear lane to throw the ball. Caleb broke that down in the post game how Vladdy stood in fair ground when Jansen was throwing from foul territory. That's why Jansen had to flip it over the runner because Vladdy has pathetic baseball instincts.
