What's the best philosophy here. Take the BPA or a high ceiling helium kid that's a bit more signable ($3m would do it), then use that extra $1.2m to maybe seduce one or two tougher signs later in the draft?

Relevant - 9 of the top 15 Fangraphs prospects are international signings.

Shouldn't the international signings be the higher focus.

lol... every team invests man?

you've had too many beers to comprehend the meaning of my msg

how many words, videos, reports etc on MLB draft eligible players compared to international sign candidates.... like 5x? 10x?

whereas most of the current top MLB stars and prospects are all international signings

Posted
possibly, lol... but you're chucking money at 16 year olds.

USA prep guys are at about the same level of development as those 16 yr old internationals

only the college guys are anywhere close to a finished product

Seriously, most of the international guys are in the Dominican where all the prospect writers are in the USA. The top IFAs get their coverage when they attend marquee events.

For obvious reasons, the draft gets more coverage than the IFA market.
