wk680 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Tulo had no chance Yeah totally overmatched. A few years ago that would have been a must see at bat, but now it's just a sad spectacle.
Yippy Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 If tulo announced his retirement he would be doing the jays a big favour
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 If tulo announced his retirement he would be doing the jays a big favour While throwing over $50M away in the process. Lol, not happening.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 John Farrell will be back tomorrow to manage the Blue Jays.
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Author Posted July 1, 2017 I wish the Blue Jays knew how to get base hits with RISP.
BlueJays Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 lol. They need to trade Bautista and all of these old guys. Cancer
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Author Posted July 1, 2017 Ump did squeeze the Jays there, should have been a strike out and the end of the inning.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Fun game. Would not watch again.
wk680 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 This seems very much possible. Probably 10-15 games below at the trade deadline....fire sale, bring up some youth and see the pitching (Stroman, Sanchez, and what ever is left) take off and carry us to around 5 games below at the end The question is who goes in a fire sale. The obvious top candidates would have been Estrada and Liriano, but both are pitching poorly, so may not be anyone even interested in acquiring them. Bautista has been doing OK, but he also has trade veto with 5/10 rights. Joe Smith would have been another top trade candidate, but now with the shoulder issues that's less likely. Will they find a buyer for Donaldson who is willing to give up what the Jays feel they need to pull the trigger. Not if he keeps playing the way he has lately.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Jays batters on the on deck circle when Sale is pitching....
West Texas Forever Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Author Posted July 1, 2017 Way to take one for the team Pearce.
TorontonianJD Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Is Donaldson injured and that's why he's DHing? Estrada and Liriano not going to get much back in trades right now. Osuna maybe? Donaldson sucking right now. Assuming there's something wrong with him. Tulo's decline is depressing me.

If they did sell, Happ and Pearce might have alright value and they don't have long term contracts.

Those are big question marks...the pitching will be sold but the price will vary depending on their play. Teams will want Happ, Estrada, and maybe Liriano (especially the NL). Donaldson probably stays until the offseason unless someone is desperate.

TorontonianJD Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 What would Morales get back in a trade? Smoak? I was at the game Thurs night in great seats close to dugout. There is a general lethargic malaise to this team. It's weird.

wk680 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 How many K's for Sale today? I say 13. 5 Ks through 2 innings. Could he get to 21 today?
Yippy Verified Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Try a bunt for a base hit. Come on Gibbons use some creativity.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 How long are we going to be bad for? 5 years min?
