Time to score a bunch of runs after a good night's sleep vs s***** Oakland pitching. Estrada needs to start off with a scoreless first inning and give us seven quality innings, which will happen.

Let's win the series and push forward.

Jesse Hahn, RHP

A’s manager Bob Melvin announced Sunday that Hahn will return from the 10-day DL to start Tuesday night. He was placed on the DL May 27 with a right triceps strain after being removed in the third inning May 23.

PREVIEW...

By Alex Simon / MLB.com |

A's right-hander Jesse Hahn is scheduled to return from the disabled list to start against the Blue Jays on Tuesday night in Oakland in the second game of a three-game series.

Hahn strained his right triceps May 23 against the Marlins and was pulled in the third inning. He was placed on the DL May 27. He threw 75 pitches in a rehab outing May 30 with Class A Advanced Stockton, going 5 1/3 innings and allowing two runs on four hits.

Full Game Coverage

A's manager Bob Melvin said that, based on Hahn's previous history with injuries, the team was just trying to be careful.

"It was really more of a velocity thing with him than anything else," Melvin said. "It wasn't like he was hurting or sore or anything like that. Just making sure he got through that rehab with no pain and that he's ready to go."

The Blue Jays will counter with right-hander Marco Estrada, who got roughed up by the Yankees in his last start on Thursday, allowing seven runs on nine hits in 3 2/3 innings.

Most of the damage came against Estrada's changeup, which is usually his best pitch. The seven earned runs were the most Estrada has allowed in a start since he joined Toronto prior to the 2015 season.

"I was just inconsistent," Estrada said. "The good ones I threw got swings and misses. The bad ones I threw got hit. It might be one of the easiest pitches to hit when it's not down. That's basically what happened. I just was missing my spots. I didn't really use my fastball that well, either. It was just one of those outings. Chalk it up as that, move on and get ready for the next one."

Things to watch for in this game

• Blue Jays second baseman Devon Travis is expected to be held out of Tuesday night's game because of a sore left hand. Travis was hit by a pitch during Sunday's game against the Yankees and he's considered day to day. Ryan Goins and Darwin Barney will continue to platoon at second until Travis returns.

• Only four A's players have faced Estrada in their careers. Trevor Plouffe has seen him the most, with one hit in 12 at-bats. Rajai Davis is 2-for-3 with a triple and a home run against Estrada.

• The only time Estrada faced the A's was on June 3, 2013, when the then-Brewer gave up five runs and nine hits in four innings before being pulled with a left hamstring strain. Hahn has never faced the Blue Jays.

My thread title is WAYYYYYYYY sexier and professional than Spanky's Cole's notes version. Although his inner content is fuller, my cosmetics in the title will lure in more clicks.

mods please delete mine... Gruber's got this.

No need.. I smell the offence having a good night while we finally get multiple RISP base hits.

As long as Gary hits the sack early and doesn't show, we're good.
