Probably discussed already but why is Travis hitting behind Pillar and Smock? Gibby going full derp?

Gibby must still be hitting Travis 9th to trick good ol Bucky Showalter into thinking Pillar and Smoak are better hitters than him.

 

Smoak takes basically the same pitch twice for 2 more K's. Could we switch him for Pearce?
