I would have not got Grilli hot until the last out. Have him warm until then and then ramp him up with his eight warm up pitches. Could have maybe used Benoit here and save Grilli for the O's series.

I'd rather not f*** around with Benoit if we can avoid it. Grilli was warming with the one run lead. Do I want him available tomorrow yes. But every game is important. He will be good to go Tuesday.

You got to be careful with him, he's 39 and our second best pen arm. He threw 16 pitches Thursday, 23 yesterday and another 19 today. Mix in the pitches thrown in the pen and that's a lot of work for him. Ideally, he shouldn't see the mound until Wednesday.
