He is a waste of a roster spot, I would rather another backup catcher that can give you some production at the plate instead of this scrub.

Give me a list of backup catchers who do that. I would rather not have Dickey on the roster and have a backup catcher who can frame. But since Dickey is here Thole should be catching him.

Arencibia is a different breed of failure though. I saw him cross Spadina a few years ago with his little ankle dog and almost got hit by a streetcar, dude was never that gifted.

Well Arenciba isn't the best example. But yes Thole rarely fumbles a knuckleball. For everything else hes s*** at. He can actually catch Dickey. Plus he can't hit regardless so we don't have to worry about his offense being f***ed up like with Martin.
