If Saunders is the only significant piece going back with reds eating a huge chunk of his contract I'm not going to complain. Saunders knee is f***ed. I feel terrible for that guy.

You have acces to his medical records?

No way Shapiro is giving the Reds any significant prospects. It goes against everything he said since coming here. You can't even really call him an upgrade. Trading for another OF can only mean the Blue Jays have no confidence in Saunders staying healthy and Pompey being ready.

Guy choose to have part of his meniscus removed so he could come back sooner. If he rehabbed the injury he would have likely missed the entire season but made a full recovery. He ended up missing the entire season anyway. It was a bad decesion and I don't need a medical report to know if they are trying to trade for Bruce on what they think of Saunders. A healthy Saunders is more of an asset than Bruce.

 

I don't think we are going to see a healthy Saunders.

Fact is you are speculating. Saunders will need to pass a medical before trade is completed.

I don't get why someone would take Saunders. He's more valuable to your team than another team, but apparently not. Shapiro is pretty quick, realizing he might lose both Mexicans, he immediately acquires a power bat.
