Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Yeah theoretically but that also holds through of MLB teams and you would still say that the Cincinnati Reds are essentially a rebuilding team and that the Jays are clearly a win now team. Not really the same. MLB clubs are in different states of competitiveness, whereas we just drafted our teams like a month ago and there are no sellers yet, so there's a lot of parity still here.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Tough decision tonight, watch the Jays or Thor v Fernandez?
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Tough decision tonight, watch the Jays or Thor v Fernandez? Aaron Sanchez enigma trumps all. Have to watch Sanchie over anything
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Tough decision tonight, watch the Jays or Thor v Fernandez? Sanchez and Tanaka are pretty interesting in their own right.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Sanchez and Tanaka are pretty interesting in their own right. Jays on the TV, aces on MLB.tv! Sick pitching matchups.

Sorry, I forgot how young this league is. I guess in H2H, not activating Story until now isn't catastrophic. Might have swung a few categories in that first week but if you make the playoffs or miss out by a lot, no one's going to know the difference. Not activating him would probably only make it worse.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 It's the 2nd week of the season, everyone is theoretically a contender. Why do you always have to be so difficult? He's probably mid-pack. There's a bunch of teams in that area, not really bad but didn't come out of the draft with an elite team.

Seriously though, even the teams that didn't come "out of the draft with an elite team" probably have more prospect capital as a result, and could therefore easily choose to be buyers. Parity reigns, but her time is short.

Yeah his answer was a mere platitude but my question would have made more sense in BBDL which is what I got this mixed up with. With the exception of Gibbers, few owners would commit to a rebuild this early.

Everybody in this league who didn't trade their 2nd round player for prospects is in the mix.

"No it isn't, that's just an optical illusion caused by the refraction of UV rays bending through our atmosphere! The sky has no inherent colour, holy f*** your dumn."

On that note, isn't the not "having an inherent colour" thing basically true of everything? I seem to recall XKCD putting out something to that effect.

The colours we interpret when looking at an object are merely the reflections of the rays of the spectrum that weren't absorbed by the object we're observing. Or something.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Dylan Bundy is going to be a f'n steal for where I got him... starting next year when he's a SP. Book it.

AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 If anyone has a closer they don't mind parting with, I would be interested. Have picks, prospects and 2nd basemen.
