BTS Community Moderator Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Greenwood's a mad man! Where's the upside with that pick? Now that Greenwood picked him there's a decent chance he has a career season.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I'm surprised boxy didn't take him 300 picks ago. I have a 2B already and can't really afford to take on more guys who will have limited PT.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I have a 2B already and can't really afford to take on a guy who will never have any PT. ftfy

With a 25th rd pick, I really couldn't afford NOT to take a guy like this, hopefully he will start the season in the minors and can be neatly stashed away in a NA slot at the beginning of the season and sold later to a young rebuilding team. If not he can be dumped to the waiver wire and replaced with a player I would have chosen instead, it's really a no-loss scenario, there's a few more guys out there like that.

No downside at this point in the draft. Almost everyone taken between picks 400 and 500 will be dropped to the waiver wire by the end of April.

Chappy Community Moderator Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Oh yeah, remember that epic series of rants last year? Speaking of which, Chappy, you still owe me $20 Yes you are correct. I will send you the money asap. I still owe Spanky as well.

Speaking of which, Chappy, you still owe me $20 I don't even care how they end up this year I'm just hoping for round 2. That was absolutely amazing to watch. Chap was dishing it out to all comers.

Chap was dishing it out to all comers. Boxy was going hard in the paint too. Then proceeded to finish like 189 games under 0.500.

Chap was dishing it out to all comers. And I had a horrific first half as well, lol. Ended up making the playoffs with a terrific second half but not as good of an overall season as I envisioned.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Boxy was going hard in the paint too. Then proceeded to finish like 189 games under 0.500. A regrettable time in my life, to be sure. At least I can say that I had nothing to do with the team's current state.

If San Diego makes the playoffs this year, will you hang your head in shame, or take credit for a good team that got unlucky last year.

BTS Community Moderator Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 San Diego's team is much worse than it was a few months ago.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Yeah I actually never pimped my LOD team but I'll say here I'll make the playoffs. Fun LOD fact: there's still a few RP on the board that I tried trading 2nd round draft picks for and got rejected..Lol..I'm not a fan of that league at all.
