So to the guys that bought tickets just to sell them or sell majority how did you make out?

I did pretty good. I had 2 full strips of tickets and a series strip each for the ALDS and ALCS. I made about $1500 profit on the first 2 rounds and I also went to 4 playoff games. So I did alright. However of that $1500, $1000 had to go down a deposit to the season tickets I purchased to get the 2nd strip (other set was from voucher pack). The other $500 I blew at the games I went to LOL. I had already sold 6 pairs of WS tickets though and if the Jays had pulled it out and the series went 7 games I would have made about $10,000 total. So you can imagine my frustration at stranding a runner on 3rd with 0 out.

I had my 2 pairs of WS tickets sold too. :/

I bought a 6 pack in August for the sole purpose of getting post season tickets to go to games. The schedule just didn't work out for me. Thanksgiving and work commitments limited me to going to only game 5 of the ALCS. The Jays didn't play a single game at home on a weekend other than that Friday at noon in the ALDS. I had 4 tickets to each game using a pair for game 5 of ALCS, sold rest of games 4 and 5 of ALCS at cost (luckily), made about $2600 on rest of the playoffs and about $400 on my 6 pack.

I'm going to get my money back but I may buy a flex pack for next year for the sole purpose of getting playoff tix again. Does anyone know the options? Can you still get 6 game flex packs? Is opening day included in those? I may use a couple but what would be the best suggestions to at least get my money back via stub hub? Opening day? Holiday afternoon games? Weekend series in July and August vs Yanks/Red Sox?

What is best value? 200 infields? 100 outfields?

I made around 7K profit if you were to just look at the revenue-ticket cost. I went to a few games and spent a ton of money but didn't include that. I'm probably just going to keep the money in the account for the refunds of non played games towards tickets for next year.

I made over 1,000 just buying cheap tickets off stubhub and Kijiji then turning around and selling them for more. Some people tried to make a quick buck not realizing they could make more.

I called an Account Exec. Honestly, it seems a little sketchy. I said I would like to do the refund. He said ok what's your account #, so I told him. He then said OK almost immediately, and that I was "good to go".

I asked about a confirmation email, or something of record. He said you will see the credit on your Credit Card once they start processing. No more information.

Does anybody have any idea what we'll be refunded? I'm assuming it will be two games (Wildcard, 4th home game of ALCS), since the initial charge assumed a wildcard game plus home field advantage throughout. However, since the games had different face values, but the payments were broken into three equal charges, I have no idea how to calculate what I'll actually get back.

The account exec I spoke to couldn't give me those details as well. That's what I mean by, sounded sketchy. A respectable operation should have all of this information clearly laid out.

They told me to send an email to ticket.office@bluejays.com with my request. I asked the guy about timing and his response was "We don't really know what's going on. We were planning on being in the World Series tomorrow". If they screw me around with this s*** I'll have 0 hesitation to call visa and do a charge back.

Clearly with comments like that, this is a pretty poor operation. They should be prepared.

Here's what I calculated for a pair of 100 level seats:

The cost for a pair for 3 ALDS ($250x3) and 3 ALCS games ($450x3) would be around $2100. The installment structure had us pay around $3998 (3 payments including the initial $500 deposit), which would include a portion of the World Series. Therefore, we should be owed back roughly $1900. I'm not sure how the Wild Card factors into this, since it didn't seem to add up. I believe we paid for 11 potential home games, but it should be 12 if you include the Wild Card.

For the individual series purchases, we should be refunded Game 4 of the ALCS and the entire World Series. I bought a pair in the 500's, so that would mean an additional $1540 refund.

Hubby just noticed that there was a credit on our AMEX of 450 from the Jays for the ALCS on Oct 23. Not sure why they didn't credit the wildcard though.

The Wildcard was never charged, I found this out last time. Because you got charged for 3 games for the ALDS/Wildcard round. If the team were to of made the wildcard the max number of home games the team could play was 3 because the wouldn't of had HFA for ALDS. Since the series went the distance that is all that was charged.

I think there was a $60 processing fee so it should be that + 6 home games.

You will not be able to get the 6 game flex pack early on in the season, 10, 15, 20 packs will be your options, with that being said if you get any of those packs you will be able to get home opener and Canada Day. If you're just looking to sell those tickets pick weekend games with giveaway days (Always Sundays) and Yankee and Red Sox match ups, as for location, the 200 level infield or baseline are the best in my opinion.

I called my rep today and got refunded the remaining amount, pretty easy not sure why people are raging here. Took me all of 30 seconds.

Has it already been applied to your credit card?

Posted
Did they explain how much you were being refunded for? The guy I spoke to told me $337 which does not include the World Series I paid in full for and the amount we paid in the 2 installments plus deposit is more than the actual games played.

Some, but not all.

What did you get refunded for? Your single game tickets?

I have no refunds for my full post season strip or the partial or full series packages I bought.

This is what Ticketmaster responded to me after I sent them an e-mail asking about the refunds for single game Blue Jays World Series tickets:

"Done and done - we canceled your order and refunded your money, just give it 3-10 business days. Sorry you can't make it - see you next time!"

lol

lol this is hilarious.

When I emailed them, it was just through a little popup box, so I'm skeptical that anything is actually going to happen. I suppose if they don't get back to me soon I'll just have to call instead.

Noticed a $220 refund to visa on oct 26. Never requested it, they originally told me any unused tickets would be used against my 2016 seasons....not sure why money was refunded. Just want to know the f***ing cost increase, was anticipating $6500-7000 for a pair in 200s, really love them. Think they will do 20% increase or more on a couple categories. the premium pricing structure in 2016 or 2017 will hurt the common fan and make the Stub Hub sellers a fortune.

By Premium pricing structure do you mean dynamic pricing? I really hope they keep the ticket exchange for STH because I'm unable to go to a lot of the dates.
