I think it went Adams, then he didn't work out and Hill got his shot and stuck, then they tried to make Adams a Shortstop. But I've tried to black those years out from my memory so could be wrong

 

Adams didn't play a single game at a position other than short in the minors (before his first call up, that is...) He was supposed to be the shortstop of the future, Hill was supposed to be the 2B/3B guy.

I'm buying into his improvements atleast a little bit. Hes taking a lot of pitches and drawing walks hitting more balls hard in the gap. Some luck obviously but he has improved since altering his batting stance.

 

He also has been hitting the ball the other way against lefties which is awesome.

Yeah, that walks are VERY encouraging. With his glove, if he could manage a .330 OBP, he'd be a pretty valuable piece.
