Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 You could quibble about his record as GM but I don't think that's necessarily a detterent to being a good president. You mostly just want a guy whose been in baseball and has some soft skills he can employ in the boardroom. Kenny might very well be that guy. I think the real argument against him is that he's not leaving the White Sox and the Blue Jays souldn't trip all over themselves trying to pry executives from other teams. That was just embarassing last time around. Problem is, a president is likely going to want to surround himself with like minded people. If a guy with a less than top-notch baseball understanding of value puts guys who think like him as GM etc. then the Jays aren't much better off.

Well I don't really want Kenny Williams anyways so it's kind of a moot point. The White Sox like him and they can have him. Poaching a president is stupid. Surely the Jays can find a guy without resorting to that.

Just pick one of the higher ups from the Cards, Astros or Rays org and I'm sure we'll all be happy.

This, a President with baseball experience is a must, our last two Presidents were embarrassing, as for that s*** show last year, that was all Ed Rogers, that won't happen again.
