closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 1 run scores but 2 base running errors on the same play end the inning... yep they were both embarrassingly bad
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 That was some atrocious base running no one got hurt so it was still a good inning
S33n Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Thole's retarded. #JustSayNoToThreeCatchers
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I don't really blame Thole for that, but Martin man... Wow...
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 To be fair to Martin, I dont think he expected Thole to just give up like that.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 What the f*** are you doing Thole. Supposed to be able to let Russell get to 2B. He was trying but failed miserably
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Cant stand the way Buck says Montreal.
S33n Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I don't really blame Thole for that, but Martin man... Wow... I blame Thole 100%. They had no chance at the plate, there was a 1% chance that throw wasn't being cut off. Thole being caught out, is what led to Martin being caught.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Wow... the sound of that swing and miss made me think he actually hit it
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Wow... the sound of that swing and miss made me think he actually hit it Nope just a hard fastball high
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 So you're saying that wasn't a very difficult hop? very difficult
S33n Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 So you're saying that wasn't a very difficult hop? That's exactly what I'm saying. That ball was thrown perfectly to be caught on the hop. No short hop, no in between hop, yet he tries running out 10 feet and drops to his knees, watch the replay
S33n Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 very difficult No it wasn't, he positioned himself horribly, making it hard.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 thole playin himself off da team
S33n Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 He was 2 feet in front of the plate. Not sure what you were watching. He decided to move towards the ball and attempted to take it on a short hop, instead of waiting back and making the easy play. It wasn't 10 feet, you're right.
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Osuna's first rough outing. Seemed like he was trying too hard. If Martin had been catching him I think he might have fared better and settled in but who knows...
S33n Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Hynes is looking solid as that loogy we needed, hopefully he can keep it up.
S33n Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Ha. I'm not a fan of Thole either but it's amazing how much flack he gets...if they run out of toilet paper in the bathrooms I'm certain he's to blame for that too. Burn him at the stake!! I'm guilty but it's mostly because I don't want 3 catchers to head north, AGAIN.
S33n Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Who's that beast at first base? Ah, Jake Fox.
S33n Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I don't want 3 catchers either. Moving Navarro solves a lot of this. Ok...maybe Thole ends up being the 2nd catcher and that's not the best, but if he handles Dickey better than Martin, and that gives him 30 days off during the season, I get it. But that also opens up a roster spot for someone that provides a lot more roster flexibility than Navarro does. I'd also prefer Navarro be traded, he makes way too much to be backup but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. Thole is a fine backup, but there's no way I want him on the roster if we already have Martin and Navarro.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Wasn't impressed with Osuna today. Control of fastball was meh. Changeup missed a lot. I didn't see a single slider.
S33n Verified Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I wish we had a radar gun on Kimbrel.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Wasn't impressed with Osuna today. Control of fastball was meh. Changeup missed a lot. I didn't see a single slider. We have a gigantic 9 innings of sample size from the spring that says Osuna is ready to jump 3 levels at age 20 and pitch in the big leagues. One outing is way less than 9 innings. He's still ready, dammit.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I wish we had a radar gun on Kimbrel. His stuff is simply electric.
