Highest game score of all time?

 

Would think that would still be the Kerry Wood 20 K game, but I could be wrong.

With the Yanks losing the double-header, here's the situation:

 

HOU win tonight, Angels would be 1.0 GB and the Astros would trail the Yanks by only one game.

 

If the Yanks lose tomorrow, providing the Astros don't collapse vs. the D-Backs tonight:

 

HOU win and TEX loss--one game playoff Monday, winner gets division, loser either hosts a WC game (HOU) or goes to Yankee Stadium(TEX)

HOU loss and TEX loss--Rangers win division, LA/HOU one game playoff Monday, winner goes to Yankee Stadium.

HOU win and TEX win--Rangers win division, HOU gets wild card and hosts at Minute Maid Park.

HOU loss and TEX win--Rangers win division, HOU goes to Yankee Stadium.

So if Astros win and Rangers lose Angels are out and Astros and Rangers are tied for AL West. If Yankees win they get home for WC. If Yankees lose loser of Astros Rangers division game is tied for WC

 

If Astros lose and Angels win Rangers clinch AL West but there are 2 teams tied for final WC.Yankees get home game

It will be an interesting day with all games starting at 3 pm (except for the unimportant St Louis at Atlanta doubleheader which starts a 1 pm)

Such an exciting week to be a baseball fan:

 

- Astros need a win today to get to the WC game

- Buehrle will likely set the 200IP record then retire

- Kershaw going for 300 Ks

- Cole vs. Arriera wild card

- Jays back in the playoffs, and loaded

- crazy good field in the NL playoffs

 

Gonna be glued to my TV

*cough*Scherzer*cough* This guy's a beast!!

 

Not only has he thrown two no hitters this year, but in each one it could have easily been a perfect game. One baelserunner per game. He walked none. One was HBP and one reached on an error.
