I'm completely comfortable with the Jays going up against any of the Wild Card teams not named the Yankees. I almost hope the Twins get in, bounce the Yankees, and then show up back in Toronto for another one-sided beatdown.

Feel the same. Yanks will get too many calls and what not. Add to that I can't for the life of me stand their fans. Want them one and done in the WC.

How many calls did they get in the vital series here?

ALDS: Astros

ALCS: Royals

WS: Pirates

EXACT SAME FOR ME! I really want the Yanks out in the WC game. Takes heaps of pressure off.

Man, the Rizzo, Bryant, Schwarber, Arrieta, Lester core is ridiculous.

Don't forget Russell. Not putting up the numbers as the other hitters but still a solid controllable player putting up 2.5 WAR this season.

Yeah. Possibly Soler too if he can figure things out.

2 years ago people called it the NL Comedy Central

Now it's the toughest division in baseball

3 IP 0 baserunners 6 K and he's hit a home run himself. Not bad so far. LOL

He's putting on a clinic. Unbelievable.

I'll go

ALDS: Twins

ALCS: Rangers

WS: Mets

I disagreed with Mets on first glance but agree upon considering the alternatives. The five teams at the top are great but the rest of the NL suxxxx.

Pirates better study Arrieta well or they're not getting out of the wild card game next week.. suddenly, it's realistic to think the Cubs have a shot to go very deep into the postseason.. hopefully no Steve Bartman-types pop up.

The only teams worse than the Astros on the road this year are the Braves, Phils, Reds, and Marlins.

Crazy. The Astros have an identical home record as the Jays (53-28) but are absolute trash away from Minute Maid. Their last seven are on the road, so they'd better step up it and fast if they're going to maintain that threadbare Wild Card lead.

I actually think the Astros could be pretty dangerous in the playoffs. Legit ace in Keuchel, followed by McHugh, Kazmir, and McCullers. Pretty deep pen, albeit one without an elite arm. And their lineup should be 9 deep, with enough talent to explode in any given game. I like them more than KC and LA.

Agreed. The Astros are pretty scary. Only reason that people are (foolishly) cooling on them is because of this huge slump they're in. I'd actually prefer they kept up the freefall to open up the last playoff spot for one of the mediocre-tier teams just below them (Twins or Angels).

I feel we would sweep the Astros without much problem. They might steal one.

I dunno, a lineup with Correa, Gomez, Altuve and Springer is capable of winning a 7-game series against anyone. Especially if Dallas Keuchel starts 2-3 of them.

well now we're getting swept by the stros for sure

How can anyone look at a team whose first two guys will be Dallas Keuchel and Scott Kazmir and then say, "yeah this should be no problem"? The only chink in the armour is that Keuchel might not arrive until game 3, depending on which day the ALWC is scheduled.
