Caper Verified Member Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I think that's a pretty common surgery.

SaskJaysFan_2 Verified Member Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 No biggee, I pitch and had this surgery when I was 38. My velo went from 85 mph to 72 mph and my arm hurt like a damn and couldn't extend all the way. After spurs were removed and I was cleaned I was actually better than ever. Velo isn't always affected, I've been told, but stamina sure is. After surgery I could pitch 150 times and not feel sore. Before, after 20 pitches, I wanted to cry. So anyway, this guy is 20 years younger than me and a real athlete. He'll be fine. But then again, I thought that last year after JJ had simple arm clean up surgery. Leading to the Padres signing him.
