Does anyone here have this? I'm thinking about getting it. It would be cool to watch any game I want right on the computer. Is the quality any good? What are your pros and cons about it if you have it? Thanks in advance.

Will try to find previous threads on this

In short it's fantastic. Best deal in sports as it costs like 1/4 of what the NFL charges

Quality is fantastic and you can watch on your phone, tablet, computer or XBOX.

And they no longer black out Jays games for people.located in Canada. They used to.

I use it on the PS3 and usually it's pretty wonky at the beginning of the year.

What I really like is how it (well most of the time) flags certain events along the game's timeline. So if someone hit a dramatic home run, replays would only show the final pitch but I like to go back and watch the whole at bat.

By far the best thing, though, is that I never have to see Gregg Zaun's ugly mug again, nor do I ever have to listen to buck and tabler.

Yeah its definitely worth it. Streaming games is easy either on the XBOX or PS4 and you can also stream games on the computer, tablet, phone. All games are archived so you can go back and watch games you missed. It's only $129/year for the Premium subscription - a lot better than some others like the NFL which is $275. I'd recommend it over getting the sports pack, since when baseball is on, usually the NBA and NHL are entering the playoffs so those games are all televised on cable so you'd be paying the $33 per month just for baseball. MLBTV makes more sense.

I also like it for the audio. Biking, walking dog, mowing lawn, out in car I end up listening rather than watching quite often. It's why I've become a big Joe Siddall fan.

I pvr most jays games and can rarely watch live...with mlbtv it would flag scoring plays on the bottom, correct? For me this would drive me nuts as i wouldn't want to know when runs are going to score, it would ruin every game.

I guess it would make you appreciate a good commentary since its all your left with sometimes. Buck and Pat leave something to be desired, I can hardly tell who's side they're on for the most part lol.

I just signed up! I got the premium package and loving it so far..just in time before the playoffs too. That's sweet the Jays games aren't blacked out. I was a bit worried they would be. Now I can watch them or any game that I want, whenever I want. It would be good to watch other games/teams too and look at their players. Our cable package sucks so this was the best way to go.

You can turn them off.

Yup, but downside is that I'm now slowly becoming a Cubs fan.

However, it is still very hard to start playback of an archived game without caching a glimpse of the final score. Unless I'm missing a trick.

I have it and like it but am rather frustrated with the XBOX 360 app. Its been buggy most of the year with frequent crashes, whereas on my PC its worked almost flawlessly all the time. Overall though its a great service, better than NHL game center which I found laggy at times last year regardless of what app I used.

Haha yeah I love all those day games! Doesn't hurt that the Cubs have oodles of fun young talent too.

MLB.TV is the best, I can't recommend it enough for hardcore fans.

I signed up on Father's Day, it was $60 (Father's Day sale) and totally worth it. I will probably do the same next year.

The only bad thing I can think of is the playoff coverage

It's all over the map. Some games shown normally, some won't show the actual TV feed, just multiple angles that are annoying and no replays, then some are blocked out. It varies year to year and round to round. So you end up watching those mostly on TV.

I've had it for years but it's not without bugs and far from perfect. Their customer service makes Bell look exceptional. The apps are always full of bugs and never properly tested. I have Windows 8, Windows 7, PS3, Roku and ipad and the quality has gone downhill on all of them this year. I went for a couple months where the ps3 would constantly freeze and buffer despite specifically ethernet wiring my house specifically because mlb.tv sucked on wireless. All this being said i love being able to watch multiple games at once and i'll do anything not to give Robellus any of my money so i take the bad with the good i guess.

Lately it has been sucking for me. It freezes and skips a lot on my computer. On my Ouya it was fine most of the season but the last month it constantly exits or wont even load. It works perfectly on my phone but I only watch on my phone when im s***ing.

And the fact that they have a top 3 broadcast.

Doesn't seem like a lot if you enjoy all of baseball. That's a s*** load of entertainment for your $. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on your perspective, I only enjoy following the Blue Jays.

I find this surprising given the fact you play fantasy baseball a ton. Don't you like watching games that you have players ( and $$) on?

If your a regular poster and not broke....i don't see why you wouldn't have some sort of MLB package - be it super sports pack, mlb.tv or whatever.

Fatcow has not been able to convince his parents to get it
