Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 @ShiDavidi now #BlueJays RHP prospect John Stilson underwent surgery to repair labrum in shoulder. Recovery is 6-8 months.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Jeez. His career could easily be done now. Didn't he have a shoulder issue previously as well?

TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 funny how drafting injured players often ends up with having an injured player.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Isn't this the guy that throws +97? And Gaston said he was the best arm in the organization after a cup of coffee in the bigs?

TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Hoffman, you are next? Honestly TJS is a little different animal...I don't see it as big of a concern (still a concern of course...plus a huge year of development lost) as something like back or shoulder injuries.

I believe you're thinking of Farrell and Sam Dyson, who barely strikes anyone out and was DFA'd the winter following his cup of coffee to make room for Mark DeRosa. Stilson has always had shoulder questions and many people opined that the Blue Jays should rush him through the minors so as to squeeze all the value out of him before he needed more surgery.
