They should trade Hammel if they can still get a return on his absurd over-ratedness. There was no way he was going to be consistent in how well he was playing, and sure enough, he's been hideous for the A's.

 

If they can get a good return on Milone, it makes sense to deal him, but he's a great depth piece to have. With him down there, they have a very deep rotation.

Lol this trade forces jays to have to win the division in order to avoid the athletics in playoff( obviously if they do get in). Getting in to wildcard game to me just seems like being in palliative care at hospital.

I think the A's lost this trade. Cespedes was having a good year + all their getting is Gomes + half a season of Lester

 

Think about it from the Sox perspective. They loan Lester for half a year and trade a platoon player for a good left fielder who can also play center

way too many for the jays liking. he not only plays 81 games at fenway, he gets a bunch in NY, Baltimore and TO.... records could get broken.

Looks bad on Beane if they have another early exit from the playoffs. But could pay off with that elusive World Series title. We'll see.
