Do they also account for the pitcher's ability to shut down the running game? Johnny Cueto in particular is fantastic at doing so, probably one of the reasons he tends to outperform FIP.

I seem to remember an article about Hellickson and his early career low BABIP not regressing partially because of his own defense (it went way up in 2013 so that theory is tough to buy) and Hellickson is far from the defender that Kershaw or Buehrle are.
