TheBoneCollector Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Again with the stupid mentality Reyes took a walk, Melky should be f***ing patient... So f***ing dumb YEp, such a dumb apparoach.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Yeah that was odd. You have to take a pitch or two to give Reyes even a chance to take second. Melky has a great ability to contact the ball, he shouldn't be afraid to hit with two strikes. Plus, the way Britton had been throwing he'd probably have at least ball 1 or 2 rather than 0-2 Wait. You are talking about the offense? I can't believe you give a s*** about RISP when the Jays offense is clearly not the problem
TheBoneCollector Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Reyes just walked........Mettalitard? Sample size? One at bat does not make a career bro, he is a free swinger, and cabreara is as well. Dumb approach.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Wait. You are talking about the offense? I'm talking about a single at bat in a game. Not the offense a whole. Nice try though. Keep digging
felinefriendly Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Tough loss. That would suggest we played well and deserved to win
MrMariusz Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 We probably did deserve to win. Despite the errors.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Man...talk about eating our young on here.... during the win streak everything went right...now the opposite is happening. We hit some balls hard right at people that werent falling for us and Gose/Juan are regressing to the mean. That's baseball. the boys can still come back tomorrow and tie the series.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 You guys are all f***ing dumb. Melky went up key holing a first pitch fastball ( which is what you usually get in that situation after a walk) and got a fat fastball that he just plainly missed. Melky crushes that same pitch, when looking for it, 70% of the time.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 You know, Oakland is having similar problems as the Jays. Swap EE with Donaldson and both teams look very similar with their recent play. Both teams are in a slump right now. Oakland's lost 5 of their last 8, similar to the Jays(not including today). It isn't just the Jays having trouble. At least we can't blame the pitching for the problems. Let's just try to win tomorrow against Chris Tillman, who has been erratic the last few starts.

But not two outs in the 9th, when you need to try to get Reyes to second before you take a hack.
TheBoneCollector Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Jesus Christ, the guy was on base 3 times with a SB today, and you pick Reyes name out of a hat at the end of the game? Keep reaching METALLITARD. 1 game <> big sample size. He is aggressive at the play always has been herp derp. Add in his s*** defense and he is grossly over paid. Keep reaching and going on with your crusade on this forum insulting people.

We hit some balls hard right at people that werent falling for us and Gose/Juan are regressing to the mean. That's baseball. the boys can still come back tomorrow and tie the series. Exactly. And BTW, Oakland, another top team, is struggling as well. Josh Donaldson, like EE, is in a major slump (6-46 this month), although EE is 7-39 this month himself.

But not two outs in the 9th, when you need to try to get Reyes to second before you take a hack. First of all, there was one out. Secondly, with a tough lefty on the mound, it would have been difficult for Reyes to steal.

Swinging at the first pitch with a base stealer on with 1 out in the ninth is a dumb move period....In fact swinging at the first pitch is something you do once in awhile, if it's a meatball, not down by 1, in the ninth.

BarkatToronto Verified Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 When the Yankees win today, our lead will be down to 2.5 games. Just that
S33n Verified Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Offence is struggling haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 When the Yankees win today, our lead will be down to 2.5 games. Just that IF they win. Kazmir's going for Oakland, so it'll be tough for the Yanks.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Tough loss, but they certainly earned it with the errors they made, including the 3B coach.
TheBoneCollector Verified Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 What's a balk? What's a life?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 What's a life? Not something owned by someone who possesses multiple accounts on a message board
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Also, noticed that Cabrera's BA is now under .297 although not surprise since it's been heading downward for a while now. It's partly the lack of plate discipline, he's good at making contact, but you're going to suffer for swinging at balls so often.
