BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Many of you have seen this Brunt article/film documentary on Edwin. Posting it for those who haven't. One of the best pieces I've ever seen of a guy who came from humble roots he has never lost...and who fought through later adversity, that we all witnessed, to become an amazing professional baseball player. Even if he never hit another home run for us its a very cool story. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/edwin-encarnacion-on-home-turf/

labadee Verified Member Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 He doesn't or at least I've never heard of such a thing. He uses Luis Rivera as an interpreter Just a quote from earlier on in the season "Encarnacion set the tone early by blasting his 200th career homer in the second inning. "[i'm] swinging at better pitches, [i'm] more confident and [i'm] feeling great at the plate," Encarnacion said through translator Luis Rivera." ehh doesn't matter.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Idk... When he signed his extension he didnt use a translator at the press conference.
Convo Verified Member Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Meh, he just doesn't feel comfortable in front of a mic with his english. Ahh
