Jays:

• Happ has alternated good and bad performances in four starts since joining the rotation. He won despite a subpar outing Tuesday, giving up four runs and seven hits over five-plus innings in a 7-4 victory at Boston.
  
• With his single in the first inning Saturday, Melky Cabrera has now hit safely in 41 of his 49 games this season.
  
• Toronto has recorded an extra-base hit in 35 straight games, and the team leads the Majors in XBH in May with 93. They lead the majors with 69 homers and ranks near the top with 243 runs. The Blue Jays have also scored 28 times with 10 home runs during their five-game win streak.
  

 

Athletics:

• Pomeranz has been spotless since replacing the ineffective Dan Straily in Oakland's rotation this season. The 2010 first-round draft pick has allowed eight hits with 16 strikeouts over 15 scoreless innings to win each of his first three starts. The left-hander gave up three hits over five innings in a 3-0 victory at Tampa Bay on Tuesday for his first road win since 2012.
  
• Although the A's lead the league with 247 runs, the AL West leaders have totaled 12 while hitting .175 in their last five games.
  
• With their loss Saturday, the A's are now 5-3 on their current road trip and have dropped three straight. They've lost only four games in the last 15.

Battle of the walking lefties . Happ at over 5.5 BB/9 against the most patient team in the majors is like add gas to a fire. At the same time Pomeranz is over 3 BB/9 against the best offense in the majors .

 

Bullpens will be busy and anyone going to the game can expect fireworks form both sides.

 

Going to miss the game and will have to catch it on XM.
