Do you know how much it costs to put up a Rogers Communications Advertisement or Banner or secure naming rights?? This is free advertising for the company. This is coming from Guy Laurence himself.

kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 DFA this piece of s***. It isn't going to happen so I would suggest Gibby bribe someone to drop something heavy on his foot or do something to get him on the DL. Nothing serious just a minor injury excuse to DL him. He obviously needs to go to the minors and pitch. AA will never DFA the guy so a minor league rehab stint is really Gibby,s only option. Right now it is a catch 22. If he doesn't pitch they can't fix his command or his slider, yet he can't be trusted to pitch.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I liked that combo, too. We're not horrible at catcher this year I don't think. We could have easily stuck with JPA for 2014 and been terrible. What do you think the combination of Kratz/Navarro/Thole give us for WAR at season's end? If Kratz gets more playing time especially with his pop and his pitch framing, the Jays are fine behind the plate. JFaS is the stat master - he said Kratz over a full season and with framing included could project as a 4 WAR player. Navarro should still be fine; though not that high on Thole. He really is wasting a roster spot to catch RA Dickey. There is no need to have 3 catchers on the MLB roster, especially Thole who is quite useless even as a pinch hitter.
