kgm1 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Dickey wasn't gassed, he lost the zone, it is a knuckleball afterall. He is also getting squezzed by the ump
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 This BP is good but how long can it expect to be good pitching 3 or 4 innings every frigging nite . The reason Gibby left Dickey out there is because we need some starters to start going 7 . Gibby,s Bullpen Management has been generally very good . Then again the whinners and bitchers on this board haven a clue what BP management of innings pitched is except thru hindsight BB Banter took a look at whether or not the BP has been overused, judge for yourself: http://www.bluebirdbanter.com/2014/4/21/5636674/is-the-bullpen-overworked Now, yes, your point stands, in that if the starters continue to not go deep into games, it could become a problem. Gibby could've given Morrow a longer leash on Sunday, for example, but he took him out after a leadoff single in the 6th. He also let Loup throw 29 pitches and ended up using Cecil down by 2. As for Gibby's BP management, we all like the way he handles it, but there have been some iffy decisions for me so far this season. Let's hope it all works out!

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 No Buck, you pitch your closer at home in the 9th, regardless. you dont want to confuse Buck with stats, facts or anything slightly intellectual. his job is to lick balls.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Lawrieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
