xposbrad Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 RASMUS WAS STANDING OUT OF POSITION!!! Call up Gose, DFA, teach him on valuable LF tools. Gose can't hit major league pitching
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Baseball is a lottery now. Why do we bother even watching??? And I guess organizations like the Cards, Yanks, Sox, Rays who consistently win are just so damn lucky! People who do this are just so bad.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 a home plate chopper and a ball smoked to the wall.... opposite ends of the hit spectrum. hope the Dick doesn't suck moose balls tomorrow.
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Then why don't you just get hired in a front office if it's so easy I'm not talking about predicting. I'm talking about actually watching the game. Game by game
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Gose can't hit major league pitching He'd fit in well with our lineup
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 He'd fit in well with our lineup lulz
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Hutch will win us game tres that's all we get in our perennial losers bracket
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Within 2, 3 or 4 years, Jeffress will be in the bullpen from another team and will have a good season. Pitching coach "That kid has tremendous stuff; in Toronto are idiots for letting this tremendous arm walk"
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 That was probably Jeffress' best outing of the season. I still think he gets DFA'd after the game so that the team can bring in some reinforcements.
vic city Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Thole will start tomorrow. I want Kratz in the lineup but you have to at least give Thole 2 chances. But if he or Dickey shits the bed, we'll have to rethink things.
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 It was so obvious we needed starters...
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 He'd fit in well with our lineup HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHaHAHA nice! lol
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Come on Betances. Give me a save. Edit: f*** off Girardi.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Some bloops and soft grounders really hurt the team tonight, but it's not like they pitched great. This team hasn't scored more than 4 runs in any games, wins or losses. Tanaka really settled in after the early runs, he looks as advertised, it must be so difficult for hitters to tell his splitter from his fastball.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 And people like your naive ass are just so out of touch with reality. Have fun in LaLa land dude. http://i40.tinypic.com/mvmhbo.jpg

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 lineup is just so much less threatening when Reyes is not in the lineup. wonder how many AB he gets before the next time he breaks down.... so sad.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Perfect, since he didn't answer, I can get my point across. The data is unreliable year to year is the main knock on them. We can ignore the defensive positioning cause the Jays don't really do that with Gump. My point is that in the moment, it's probably the most accurate representation of defense we have, and much better than Jonn's eye test. I wonder what the year-year correlation of DRS is. Defensive positioning comes into play on every at-bat, I'm not talking about shifts or anything. I'll agree that it's the most accurate statistic we have, but you're much too quick to write off observation, as it is still the best tool we have to evaluate defense (from a competent eye with multiple looks). I don't agree with his evaluation, but I'd suggest looking at things with a critical eye and not taking it for granted that these stats are accurate. Most of the time they are not, you have to pick and choose your spots and use multiple methods.
xposbrad Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Well, when Reyes comes off the DL it will be Morrow's turn. They rotate.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 And people like your naive ass are just so out of touch with reality. Have fun in LaLa land dude. Question: Do you actually know what my stance on this team is? Defensive positioning come is to play on every at-bat, I'm not talking about shifts or anything. I simply disagree that the eye test is superior in this case. I feel like we could have a much better argument in a different situation in which I was less tired so I'll agree to disagree.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 It was so obvious we needed starters... we need more than starters.. we need top of the rotation starters. good luck with that.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Solarte's pissing me off

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Probably one of the most boring games I've ever watched. Terrible. Like I almost fell asleep.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Solarte > Lawrie I wanted Lawrie to prove you wrong but he didn't..... *sigh*
theblujay Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Question: Do you actually know what my stance on this team is? LOL! No I don't. Don't mean to come off as a prick. Just frustrated. You're probably a really cool dude. We just happen to disagree on a topic. Lol
vic city Verified Member Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 lineup is just so much less threatening when Reyes is not in the lineup. wonder how many AB he gets before the next time he breaks down.... so sad. Not sure how you can say that when Diaz is producing just as well?
