mitchf Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I'll probably be at the school till around 7 tomorrow and have tickets to the leafs game for Tuesday (genuinely don't want to go). Unfortunate.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 East, I have to say I feel bad about telling you to get off your high horse. I mean, I think you were on one, but that's probably the most unpleasant thing I've said to you in like 10 years on this forum. Wanna hug it out? You know that I can't turn down a good old fashioned bro hug.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 What, no circle jerk? Circle jerk is reserved for Saturday after the Yankees game. We can arrange something at an all-ages establishment if you want to join in. We don't discriminate!
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 A circle jerk between two people isn't a circle jerk, it's two guys jacking it together. It's only gay if you make eye contact.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Good luck with that. I'd be happy if they played a meaningful game in September once... There's a difference between wants and expectations, lol. A circle jerk between two people isn't a circle jerk, it's two guys jacking it together. I was assuming King was invited, as your #1 fan boy. That thread still f***ing haunts me. GOD.

It's not gay if it's a three way. Also, if you say no homo, you're pretty much golden.

vic city Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 No way. Enjoy the game my way or f*** off. LOL well played sir. eastcoastjaysfan is going a little overboard tho. BTS at least contributes to decent conversation. He's just a complicated individual!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 BTS at least contributes to decent conversation. He's just a complicated individual! Well he backs up his opinion and explains it. You can understand his points even if you disagree.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I have many layers. You're sophisticated. Chicks dig it. If you ever closed your fancy nerd spreadsheets and left your mom's basement you'd be pimpin'.
Caper Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 I have many layers. But the grossest layer is that thick layer of cum from all your fan boys.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Honestly if the scenario right now was the Rays vs. Jays, I'm probably cheering for the Rays. Against any other team I'm probably cheering for the Jays cause I know just contending is keeping AA around anyway. What I don't understand is that for the past year and a half (or longer) BTS and I have been the most critical two about the moves made, specifically pointing out that they aren't made for long term success. But then most think it's insane that we won't support every aspect of this team. I realize what a playoff run would do for this team financially and keeping spending up into the upper half of the league, but that's not going to change my views about how to run a team. I know you can't start a long time playoff run without the first one...but I really struggle to see this org making that kind of run.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I got sunburnt like a bitch today out on the beach. Don't do it Do you have a tan line from your water wings?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Saw online that you can get tickets almost directly behind the backstop for like 30-40 bucks. What a joke of a fanbase. we're all in Toronto.
Caper Verified Member Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 But then most think it's insane that we won't support every aspect of this team. Forgetting about the rest of the post.... this part is simply isn't true. I know you believe this to be true... but it is not at all true.... and there in lies your disconnect.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I've always talked about wanting long tern success. I honestly in my heart believe that we can't have that with AA and Beeston in the fold. How is that any different than someone wanting a better 2B or a better pitcher for their team. In my opinion the GM is the most important person to a baseball teams success...so I want a better GM in place. A one year fluke playoff run makes that an impossibility. It's odd cause I'm a very loyal guy, just not with my sports teams. I disagree, I think it's ownership, president and then the GM. Bill DeWitt wouldn't have allowed the Marlins trade. That's where it starts, a good owner sets a vision for his franchise and doesn't deviate from it because of some injury and performance setbacks. The president and GM know what the vision is and execute it to the best of their abilities. Anyway, just my thoughts.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Sad I choose not to stay in an equal relationship. I have needs and expectations. The Jays F.O. didn't fulfill them. Rather than cheat I chose to dump the team, but I keep them close in case they ever change.

You don't have to isolate yourself from the rest of us. We all hate AA, we all understand that he has an unjust level of job security because Beeston is equally incompetent. It's the cycle of being a sports fan, certain regimes are flat out exhausting.

Presidents should be there to wave to the crowd and take press conferences when important GM'ing work is getting done.

Sternberg in TB and DeWitt in SL knew what they wanted to do and hired the right people to do the job. I just think that's where their success starts.

There is no model and we have no idea of knowing what the owner's impact really is.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Lol well said but I'm too loyal to do that. Just cheat on them with another team till they get their s*** together. Wut Jesus christ I'm glad my relationship isn't like the ones in this thread lol

I'm a baseball fan first and foremost. The Jays are a geographic convenience for me. Honestly a lot of what I'm saying today is true...but I'm saying it in a very tongue-in-cheek way. In between me leaving my job and returning to school I spent 2 years watching baseball, mostly minor league ball. The only teams I made sure I watched every game were the Jays affiliates and if I'm in the position to do so again this summer I will watch every Buffalo, Lansing and NH game on TV. In that way I'm kind of an enigma as I truly want to see future Jays...but I couldn't care less about the team that the Jays are throwing out there.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
