G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 http://i50.tinypic.com/2i8g5mx.jpg LOL what is this???

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I'll never understand why batters try to stretch a double into a triple with two out when there is no play at the plate. So f***ing ignorant, you're in scoring position already stupid.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 If Ben Revere takes one of your fastball into the wall, then you're s***.
TDotttt2005 Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Pffft, don't be silly... Sorry about that. I know its an extreme idea. I hope I didnt offend anyone.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Lawrie just missed that one, he's not happy about it either.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 This is only the second game I got to watch this Spring because I'm normally working. My job got canceled due to freezing rain so this is really a bonus. I can't wait for the night games. As for Goins I'm going to have to keep watching but he doesn't stand out for me yet. He looks good but not great and he can't hit. He's defense is a guarantee. IMO, he's a top 5 defensive second baseman.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Sorry about that. I know its an extreme idea. I hope I didnt offend anyone. The better strategy is obviously to keep a bunch of borderline/fringe starter guys around and ask the fanbase who should get the starting jobs. Get with the times, man.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Do we really need to see Happ pitch another inning? Just send him to the dl or dfa please.

Yeah I don't like the idea of him as our #1 guy at 2B but I can't argue with that. He was SUPER slick last year. But he is probably a black hole in the 8 or 9 spot of the lineup.

Rotator Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Yeah I don't like the idea of him as our #1 guy at 2B but I can't argue with that. He was SUPER slick last year. But he is probably a black hole in the 8 or 9 spot of the lineup. His defense can only help this pitching rotation.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 He's defense is a guarantee. IMO, he's a top 5 defensive second baseman. I think we need a larger sample before we go putting a "top 5 defensive second baseman" label on him.

That should help him see some early count fastballs. He just needs to learn and recognize and maybe, just maybe, he'll be an average bat.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Redmond is just sitting back and smiling. Which I have no problem at all with.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 f*** i'm getting a bad feeling we see Happ in the rotation with Redmond as a long man.

I'm honestly asking cause I haven't seen. If so, then yes cause Navarro sure doesn't.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 IMO the known is his bat. 70 wRC+ if he gets lucky. The unknown is the D. If it's generational, then he'd be a serviceable player. If it's only top 5, he's not good enough overall. Meanwhile the Red Sox have f'n Pedroia who does it all. Must be nice.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Redmond is just sitting back and smiling. Which I have no problem at all with. Yeah that's fine but Happ is still 6th on the depth chart right now. Happ will be needed and he will walk guys because he always has. Somedays he will dance around those walks and some days will be uggly.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Different IF shift this time Lawrie visibly confused with his instructions to play near the 2B bag
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 And the shift costs them there Bloop sing;le and Byrd goes first to third
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Good, i jinxed Happ. Oh the reverse vibes work well.
