Blue Jays’ Casey Janssen jumps out of a plane to make a proposal

 

Casey Janssen’s proposal came right out of the blue.

 

His girlfriend was literally floating when she saw the sign below. It read: “Lauren, will you marry me?”

 

Stunned but delighted, Lauren Spear glided to the ground where she found Janssen on one knee with a ring in his hand. She said yes. The Toronto Blue Jays closer had closed the biggest game of his life.

 

Janssen proposed during a skydiving adventure in Caramillo in his home state of California on Jan. 28. Lauren, a native of Fort Erie, Ont., met the Blue Jays pitcher in Toronto early in the 2012 season. Shortly thereafter, she unwittingly came up with an idea that Janssen would eventually turn into a memorable offer she couldn’t refuse.
