Adjusted the bonus days a bit, they will happen every weekend except for the two weekends I know I won't be here for.

With regular season a few days away, just wanted to let everyone know of the minor changes to this years season. Take a minute to read the rules, and get familiar with the bonus points / playoff format.

• Pick a player on the Jay's starting lineup that you think will hit a home run at ANY TIME during each game.
  
• You can only pick the same player 4 times during each week (Monday-Sunday)
  
• If you pick a correct player you will earn the corresponding points.
  
• Players less likely to hit a home run will be worth more points than those more likely to knock one out.
  
• Point values will change daily depending on hot and cold streaks, and will be posted before each game.
  
• You can only pick one player and you must have your pick in before the first Blue Jays at bat.
  
• *Weekend games will be "bonus days" (pick two players, pick players from other team etc.) Schedule in 2nd thread post
  
• You may post your pick before the daily lineups are posted if you will not be online before the game starts.
  
• If you are going away, you can PM Dylan your picks for the upcoming games (Max 5 games)
  
• *The season will be divided into two sets at June 9th, 2014, playoff information is posted below.

Season divided into 2 sets

First Half: March 31st-June 8th. (64 games)

Second Half: June 9th - August 20th (63 games)

 

- Top 14 members from each half move on to the playoffs

- 1st place from each half get a bye to the final playoff round,

- 2nd place from each half get a bye to the second playoff round.

- Playoff ties go to the member with the most overall points during the season.

- Top 14 members in the second half move on (not including those who made it during the first half)

- Still important for those who make playoffs in the first half to increase overall points during the second half.

 

Playoffs

Round 1: August 22nd-September 4th (Top 12 members from each half, not including the 4 byes)

Round 2: September 6th- September 17th (Top 14 members from round 1, +2 2nd byes)

Round 3: September 15th-September 28th (Top 8 members from round 2, +2 Byes)

Why can we only PM you for a max of 5 games? I'm gonna be going away for like a week in July and I think I might go a game or two over that.

because if people get bored of the jays once they are out of contention or are gone for a significant amount of time they will just pm me picks for the point of it. It'll be annoying and I don't wanna keep track lol

 

It's not really fun if someone just emails me saying pick Jose/edwin for the next 2 weeks for me so I don't have to worry about coming on here.

 

If you're going to be away for a few more than 5 days I can make an exception if you're an active participant.
