Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Solskjaer is going to get sacked this season, he’s completely out of his depth. Talking about early season predictions, this one is still looking good!

PSG over Dortmund Liverpool over Atletico Atalanta over Valencia Tottenham over Leipzig Bayern over Chelsea Barcelona over Napoli Manchester City over Real Madrid Juventus over Lyon I think this year’s CL is very open, there are at least 7 teams that it wouldn’t be a shock if they won. I like Man City and PSG for this year but who knows? It’ll be fun finding out though!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Damn we disagree on a lot. I think Bayern or Liverpool will win the whole thing.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Damn we disagree on a lot. I think Bayern or Liverpool will win the whole thing. That’s the great thing about this year though, it’s so open anything could happen!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 (edited) Davies had another amazing game. He's probably one of the best players in the world already. From Bayern website. "Alphonso Davies is amazing. He bullied Schalke all night on the flank, dribbling past their defenders like they were traffic cones and stopping attacks with sheer physicality. Some of his challenges were so nonchalant you’d forget that this was a 19 year old kid on the pitch. What a game." "Standing ovation: Alphonso Davies Once again, the young Canadian is proving that he is one of the brightest young stars in the league, if not Europe. Davies worked his tail off the whole game, sprinting up and down the left side. It is so fun to watch his defensive abilities develop before our eyes. Again today, he showed off his speed to catch an opposing player with the ball. Even when he gets beaten, his speed enables him to race back and win the ball again. He also completed a match-high four key passes and completed nearly 90% of his passes on offense." https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2020/1/25/21079981/bayern-munich-vs-schalke-lineups-live-stream-how-to-watch-bundesliga-updates-highlights Edited January 25, 2020 by jays4life19
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 Wow, this is massive. Hopefully it’ll be overturned, not least because I often go to CL games at the Etihad!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 This probably clinches Leroy Sane to Bayern transfer this summer.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted February 14, 2020 Posted February 14, 2020 This probably clinches Leroy Sane to Bayern transfer this summer. If it isn’t overturned (and chances are it’ll be at least suspended like the various transfer bans for Chelsea and Real were) then Pep Guardiola will likely leave too.

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Abom have you been watching any of the Whitecaps? I heard Cavallini has scored in 3 straight matches. Putting that Phonzie money to good use. Video:
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 I trust everyone is excited for the Bayern game today

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 I trust everyone is excited for the Bayern game today Should be a good game. Surely it won't be quite as big a walkover as the last time they were in London though, when they beat Spurs 7-2!

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 You going to watch? Pretty excited for this game. Put some $$ on Bayern. Yeah, knockout CL is awesome. I tried getting tickets for Man City vs Real tomorrow but they sold out!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Yeah, knockout CL is awesome. I tried getting tickets for Man City vs Real tomorrow but they sold out! How much would have that cost you?
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 How much would have that cost you? About £120-150 for tickets for both me and my Dad. Normally go to one or two Man City CL games a year but this game sold out very quickly - possibly because it might be the last European game for them for 3 years!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 It is time to unleash the Phonzie on Chelsea. Bayern is really fun when it's both him and Coman on the left side. Pace for days
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Pretty good read about Jonathan David who Gent turned down 25 million Euros this winter. Sounds like he's leaving in the summer and is going to get PAID. Teams apparently view him as the next Earling Halland https://www.forbes.com/sites/manuelveth/2020/02/25/jonathan-david-the-22-million-striker-is-ready-to-step-out-of-davies-shadow/#33dbe9524d33
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 The BBC gave Davies the man of the match. Bayern look really good this year, with a very deep squad.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Not many teams can bring off the bench the likes of Goretzka, Coutinho and Tolissio!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 The BBC gave Davies the man of the match. Bayern look really good this year, with a very deep squad. The hype train is out on full speed this morning over him. I think everyone who's been watching Bayern this year knew how special he's been so doing in a knock round with everyone watching was cool and now I can spend the day reading article after article about how great is. Lol I'm still sticking with Bayern or Liverpool to win it all.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 (edited) Reports out of Germany are reporting that despite Alphonso being under contract for 4 more years that Bayern is set to offer him a massive contract extension. https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2020/2/26/21154131/bayern-munich-report-alphonso-davies-new-contract-chelsea-champions-league-win Edited February 26, 2020 by jays4life19
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Damn Robert Lewandowski out four weeks with knee injury. RIP Bayern.
Beans Verified Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 This is interesting: Kids in Britain playing organized soccer will no longer be allowed to practice headers, according to new safety guidelines for kids aged 11 and under. http://www.thefa.com/news/2020/feb/24/updated-heading-guidance-announcement-240220 And even after they leave primary school, headers "will remain a low priority when compared to other technical aspects of the game." This is obviously a direct response to the 2019 study that found former pro soccer players were 3.5 times more likely to die of dementia (compared with a control sample), and five times more likely to die of Parkinson's.

Girls soccer concussions are insanely high. I watched a coach run like a 20 minute header practice for 12 year olds. I spoke up and got screamed at. Never send your kid to International soccer Club in Mississauga.
