I dunno. Dunedin isn't very convenient. More snow bird Jays fans stay on the east coast so maybe this will boost attendance/interest.

What does this do to the Jays A+ team? Can they play a full season there in a shared facility? I presume so I suppose or else teams wouldn't share like this.

Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter hosts four Minor League teams: the Marlins' and Cardinals' high-A and GCL teams, so there's a model in place. You can do anything with scheduling.

 

I'm very excited about this. It's great that they didn't push if off like they did with the Argos/grass situation... on the contrary they're even going to pay extra to get out of the Dunedin lease. Should be a fantastic facility, and they'll finally be able to house both the MLB and MiLB players in one place.

 

I go to Florida about every other March. Can't wait to see some games at the new place! We always stay on the east coast and have never bothered driving over to Dunedin cause I kept hearing it was a PITA to get there.
