dineke Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Vikings fan because of Moss. For all the (deserved) hype Beckham is getting this year, Moss was basically the equivalent with 4 extra inches of height and 2 10ths shaved off his 40 time. Young Moss with today's rules would be just silly. Moss with Brady was out of this world. Too bad it only lasted a couple of years.

Benjiman, Beckham, Evans are all going to be over 1000 yards and if Benji gets a TD this week all 3 will have 10+ TDs. I think Evans could have put up similar numbers to Beckham if he had a better QB throwing at him other than Glennon and Mcowen.

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Don't sleep on Sammy Watkins Ya i Watkins got into that group where he had nobody to throw to him....
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 The Moss/Cowboys/Thanksgiving game in 1998 was probably one of the greatest memories of my childhood. GOAT
GD Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Ya i Watkins got into that group where he had nobody to throw to him.... Kyle Orton + No O-line + EJ Manuel lol
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Kyle Orton + No O-line + EJ Manuel lol f*** sounds exactly like the bucs lol.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Dumbass Bills would trade up for a WR when they had EJ Manuel at QB lol... If only they could have nab Bridgewater or Carr but no.

If only they could have nab Bridgewater or Carr but no. Could have been like Tampa and Bomb last year.... Get a great WR in Evans and Bomb again this year and have a shot at getting Mariota.... However if Titans get the first pick and take him i would say no to Winston

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Shame Moss liked weed as much as football. Not being wiseass, it's genuine shame he didn't get most out of talents
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 From that same game: That might be the fastest I've seen a WR run. Just obliterates like 4 guys' angles. Randy Moss was awesome. Didn't he get slagged for being an ******* late in his career? Amazing how people choose to view great athletes.

Amazing how people choose to view great athletes. Moss was never really known as an *******. He just dogged it sometimes and took plays off. I don't think his teammates disliked him. He's actually quite well spoken seeing as how he grew up in a complete shithole. Watch his 30 for 30 on ESPN. It's a miracle that he made it as big as he did. His hometown is one of the most ghetto places I've ever seen. Easily my favorite athlete of all time: "Randy Moss don't stretch on game day, I come ready. I came out the womb I was ready!" -Randy Moss
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Most of it was how he took plays off during games and had a questionable work ethic.. very different than say Bonds or TO Same theme, though. Dude was one of the best pure talent receivers ever and people choose to remember him as a lazy bum...you know, those people who spend every Sunday with their asses glued to the couch.
Nox Verified Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Most of it was how he took plays off during games and had a questionable work ethic.. very different than say Bonds or TO Moss' work ethic off the field was far above average. Really not sure what you're referring to. He kept his body in great shape and is well-known within the NFL as being a legitimate student of the game. And the only difference between Moss taking plays off and every other WR was that he came out and said it. The truth of the matter is that he scared a bunch of stodgy old white reporters and they tried their best to villainize him.
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 I have been trying to find a comment I heard from an ESPN reporter on Julio Jones last week...something along the lines of why didn't you stretch out a bit on the field with your type of injury...." Have you seen me play? I don't need to stretch....." It was awesome but I was half in the bag and can't remember... Anyone recall this?

I almost forgot how horrendous Madden was as an announcer. "Angles...angles and all those things don't mean anything against speed"

I do remember reading about how he dogged plays and maybe assumed that parlayed into his work ethic off the field. I know he liked the weed too.. but I assume a large number of African American NFL guys do too... just don't think of it when you think of Jerry Rice and such

When Wayne retires this season next year he will be Luck's number 2 target.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Moss seems like a legit good dude.

Perhaps the best single position ever in the first year following the draft
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Dolphins defense in daily fantasy today = bad idea. lol. At least Beckham Jr helped soften the blow.
