ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Oh and I just saw that Happ pitched 3 innings for the GCL Jays, didn't even know he was starting a rehab assignment.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Probably Kawasaki Man, that sucks, but he's got options and hopefully it won't be too long till they trade a couple of relievers.

flafson Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Or maybe there is a trade in the works for one of our infielders?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 What does it matter? Kawasaki is f***ing terrible at baseball.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Or maybe there is a trade in the works for one of our infielders? If they have any brains, they'd deal a reliever or 2 and include one of the IF.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 What does it matter? Kawasaki is f***ing terrible at baseball. "3 weeks wonder"
flafson Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 What does it matter? Kawasaki is f***ing terrible at baseball. Guy is like .500 at key moments plus he gets on base ALOT, can't really ask more from a number 9 hitter. His job description is to not screw up on defense, get on base for the top of the order, and if for some weird reason, the hitters before him are on base, make a key hit.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Guy is like .500 at key moments plus he gets on base ALOT. .319 OBP does not qualify as ALOT, which is two words by the way.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Lawrie here to save the season part 2?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 Altuve agrees with #Astros on 4-year, $12.5M extension with two club options at $6M, $6.5M.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Lawrie here to save the season part 2? 10-game winning streak starts today baby!

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Melky is playing in Buffalo tonight also. So he only got a game in Dunedin? I really hope his legs were really injured because he looked horrible.
Hawkguy Verified Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 .319 OBP does not qualify as ALOT, which is two words by the way. .319 is a lot better than the other options. Don't be a spelling/grammar whore, man. f***ing lame.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 Blue Jays-Official @BlueJays 2m ROSTER MOVE- Brett Lawrie activated from DL, Kawasaki optioned to AAA
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 .319 is a lot better than the other options. Don't be a spelling/grammar whore, man. f***ing lame. And his career OBP is .297. Since you're not familiar with small sample sizes or RTTM, I'm just going to dismiss your misguided opinion altogether at this point. He is a below replacement level player and a quasi-racist gimmick. The right player was optioned.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 So they panicked again, I thought they were gonna let him play in the minors till next week, but I guess not.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I really hope he plays 3B and Izturis 2B.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 He's playing 2B and batting 8th
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I don't believe he was allowed to play another week. Rehabbing hitters are only allowed 20 days in the Minors, yesterday was his 17th. I don't know how that works when you come up on a 4 day break due to all star game. Maybe you still have to put him back on 40 man roster even if team is not playing???

That's true, I remember he missed some games because of a family thing and there were a couple of rainouts right after that. Anyway, even rehab stints have been going wrong for the Blue Jays this season.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Yep Lawrie playing 2B: @TheGarfoose: Today's line down http://t.co/sK0YT30qcI
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Nope, he's playing 2B and Izturis is 3B today. Don't agree with this, they're moving Lawrie because of Izturis. Whatever makes sense to them I guess.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 OK Alex, what is the real plan for third base?!?!?!
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 So any guesses on who'll get injured between now and Cabrera's return to prevent the team from having its full lineup healthy at the same time?
