Work on your grammar first, thanks.

Jay these GDT s are as full of whinners and bitchers as bad as the old board . Obvious to me some have no clue how the game is played they just come on here to cry and bitch . wish juice would bann about 20 of them and we could come to a board and just talk baseball .

The jays are league average with RISP in terms of average and wOBA, do you bother looking this stuff up first?

What is the jays record in 1 and 2 run games? I rest my case,. In crucial situations they are terrrible.

For the people complaining about JJ earlier:

Josh Johnson developed a blister on his middle finger in the fourth inning of Sunday's game. Blue Jays don't think it will be much of a problem.

He just had the nerve to throw out a random fake stat, so i spent the 10 seconds it took to type in "team stats mlb" in google and prove him wrong

Lol, Wilner-esque.

So if the Jays are down 7-3, then in the ninth Izturis hits a meaningless homer with two outs and they lose, are they still not clutch? Because that's losing by 2, you realize.

Dat logic.

He's in a contract year so he'll look horrible if he doesn't pitch through it. I don't think it'll pose an issue.

You dont know what clutch means? How does hitting a HR down by 4 mean clutch? The jays record in close games speak for itself, no other way to spin it.

Is Lind going to have enough at bats to qualify for the batting title? I know he hasn't been full time, but will he have time to qualify if he gets a few more starts now? Love to see him in the Top 10 by season's end.

It's possible but it will be close since it is unlikely he will play every game here on. This is what he is looking at:
Total ABs needed to qualify

502.2

353.2

88.3

How many ABs do you need to qualify right now? He has 151 AB

3.1 * # games played by the team

Team has played 61 so far, Lind requires 61 * 3.1 (189).

Random thought: JJ is playing really well when he's healthy this year. .349 BABIP and a ~13-14+ HR/FB% are killing him but his peripherals are kinda sexy.

Do you even have these stats, or are you just pulling these out of your ass? I'm not arguing that we haven't been clutch; I'm saying that you're overrated clutch and that the way you quantify it is really stupid.

Wait, are we all blaming EDWIN here instead of the fact that Bautista didn't put the ball in play before making a f***ing joke of himself?

EE popped up on a ball well out of the zone. But before that they gave away two outs, between Melky bunting for some reason and Bautista letting a borderline call go to his head and ruin his AB.

Such a frustrating game. 4-0 lead and couldn't close out the sweep. JJ looked like the JJ before last start: extremely inconsistent and overall not that good.

So I found a word to describe our management :P

Overall, JJ's been pretty good. 3.86 xFIP with nice peripherals.

Baseball is easy UGH!!!!!! I could've cashed in those runs!!! My team lost wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I've missed you! I know you haven't gone anywhere but we don't get enough of this NJH.

Losing teams get into more situations were they are losing, thus they lose more close games.

Just an fyi though, Detroit is just as bad as the jays in 1 run games

I just did the calculation and Lind is about 40 AB away from being able to qualify.

That just says how much he is short at this point in time. For him to qualify he will need to accumulate at a minimum, the # team games left * 3.1 plus the 40 he is currently short.

Just to nitpick, it's 3.1 plate appearances per game, not at-bats. Also, I'm pretty sure a batter can have fewer than that number, but the remaining ones that they are short are calculated as outs.

what do you expect when a team is in last place and expected to be world series contenders?

That's ok - I support such things as long as the most up-to-date/correct information is being provided. ;)

2 of 3 from Texas ain't bad, Darvish isn't so tough after all

2/3 isn't enough when you are 8 games under 500 and almost 10 games behind in the division.

What a f***ing punk Bautista is. Just embarrassing that this man child is our franchise player...ugh.
